Oakhurst Insurance client - I feel I was shortchanged.

I have a short-term insurance with Oakhurst for my Hyundai Elantra 1.6 vehicle. I took the TAXI insurance with the hope that I would operate Uber after working hours. The process of regularizing the operating permit was still pending when I got involved in an accident. I have been faithful in paying my premiums of 1300 each and every month without fail. A month ago someone drove into my car and I reported whilst still at the scene. I was told to get a police report and put up a claim with a quote from their nominated dealer. Unfortunately, they started requesting for an operating license and later repudiated my claim. I indicated that it takes ages to get the Operating license, something to which they were well aware of. In issuing service agreement, it was never explained that I am not covered by my operating license is available. I asked whether I am covered or not but they said they won't cover me without an operating license. At the time of the accident, the vehicle had not been operating as a taxi, since I didnt have my operating license. They say if anything happens I am not covered unless I give them an operating license. I have searched through my documents and I don't see that as being mentioned as a requirement to get my car repaired. Nonetheless, the insurer continues to debit me R1300 but is adamant that they will not cover me or fix the car. I feel like I was conned into believing that my premiums were indeed insuring my car. I feel like I was ****** of my hard-earned cash and would like to warn others who may find themselves in my situation.
