Oakhurst Declined my Claim and Kept my car.
Good day.
I recently bought a Datsun Go 1.2 AB LUX, through finance in February 2019 on the 15th. I was in a car accident on the 13th of July 2019, and I was not the driver at the time of the accident. I was the only person injured and I had comprehensive insurance at the time of the accident.
My car was written off and Oakhurst insurance declined my claim stating that the vehicle was speeding the reason they declined.
Since the date of the accident, they kept my vehicle stating that I have to pay them R10860.50 to get the vehicle since the towing company that towed my car is not with Oakhurst, and the guy claimed to be with Oakhurst giving me all my information at the scene and I was in pain and gave him access to tow the car since I had to go to hospital.
It is very painful to pay for something I only had for 5months. Please help me with this situation because sometimes I have suicidal thoughts, and I have never claimed from this insurance since I took the vehicle.
Please make them pay for my claim or let them bring back my car. I will figure out how to fix it and drive it until I finish paying for it.
