Oakhurst and Durban South Panel Beaters Unsatifactory Customer Service.

Hello On the day of the motor vehicle accident , My wife called Oakhurst to inform the insurance Company of the accident, It so happened that Photos were taken of the car at the scene.... where the question here is the damages of the tailights....

I was on the scene... and have photos of the rear lights not being damaged.... Oakhurst asked us to move the vehicle to Durban South Panel beaters... After numerous of failed communications we decided to issue a no claim and pick up the vehicle...

When we got to Durban South Panel Beaters to fetch the Vehicle ... Both Tails have been broken....

I called Durban South to ask why are the tail lights broken .... their reply was that it came in that way..... (thats lies because I dropped of the Vehicle) with a tow truck assigned by Oakhurst....

I am not going to spend R3k on getting new tail lights when these were not damaged...

Dear Gerald

We refer to your complaint posted on 31 October 2018, the contents of which have been duly noted.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

You had a motor vehicle claim which was reported to have occurred on 18 October 2018 under your Insurance Policy which was authorised for settlement. Our records confirm that the Insurer followed a thorough process in an attempt to finalise your claim, however, your elected not to proceed with the claim but to rather claim directly from the Third Party.

We further confirm that the matter regarding the tail lights of your motor vehicle is still being investigated and a consultant from the Resolutions Department will revert to you shortly with feedback.

We trust you find the above in order.

Regards,

Oakhurst Resolutions Team

Hi With regards to a thorough process, it seemed like we were the ********* of some sort... I mean my vehicle was hit from behind.... that is one of the reason i was upset.... You were my insurer, My question is that will you look for every small reason not to pay a claim... or see how you can help a client that was loyal.... I hope the resolution for my cars tail lights will be swift and prompt.... Thanks
