No Point!!!!

I ve been with Oakhurst for a year now and I pay over R2000.00 for a monthly premium. I got a small ding on the car and claimed for it. Total damage is R19000.00 and my excess is R5500.00 , then there is another excess of R5500.00 as well as a THIRD one for R5500.00. So lets add that up = R16500.00. So Oakhurst is only cover ing R2500.00. I got a second quote (not with Oakhurst) and the total was R13600.00. SO I ASK , WHAT IS THE POINT OF INSURING WITH OAKHURST IF I HAVE TO PAY EVERYTHING MYSELF!!!! Once this claim is done I will be dropping Oakhurst and finding a more suitable Insurer.

Dear Iwan-Russo

Upon the perusal of your policy file we noticed that there was a rerate on your policy which also affected your excess structure. A letter was e-mailed to you notifying you of the changes to your policy that will come into effect 30 days after the recipt of this letter.

The 30 days' period passed without the insurer receiving any objection to these changes, we accordingly accepted that you agreed to these chages taking effect.

Based on the above we will unfortunately not make any changes to the excess that was app**** on your claim.

We sincerely hope that the above was of assistance.

Kind regards
