Hidden Excess Cost That End Up Equaling Claim
Just like one of their previous clients that posted a report on the 22 Feb 2016. I had a small accident where my fender and mirror were broken. I lodged my claim in December, in early January I was told to take my car to a panel beater for assessment. After that, Oakhurst kept quiet for 5 weeks, only after I called them on the 22 Feb, they decided to tell me that they cannot fix my car because the damage is R16000. 00 and my excess is R21000. 00. I asked how my access went up so high and they said because I am less than 30 years old, I claimed within 2 years, and a whole lot of other stories which I was never told would increase my excess. I now know that Oakhurst is about making money and not making a difference in people's lives. Yes a business is a business but you have to give people value for their money. I would not advise anyone (not even my enemy) to join oakhurst.
