Claim declined in 3days-******* company
Good day
I was involved in an accident on the 1st of January 2019 after another vehicle cut in front of me.I immediately received a text message from Netstar with options (1) If all in order (2)for assistance which obviously was (2).Service from Netstar was fair and after a few minutes received a call from Oakhurst. We went through the process explaining what happened and was asked to open a case with SAPS which I was going to do anyways within 24hrs (Vehicle was still drivable).I went on to take down details of the 3rd and later that day went to do AR at Linden SAPS.I also took my wife who is 6mnths pregnant to the hospital to check if all was good even though no one was injured.
All the information required including a quote was sent to Oakhurst and seemed everything was being handled professionally. On the 3rd of Jan 2019 ,I received a text message from Oakhurst stating that an Assesor was to be assigned to come and view the damages. On that very same day Kelly-Ann from the claims department called and informed me that my claim was declined and she sent me a letter to present to the 3rd Party.
I sent the letter to the 3rd party to relay to his insurance company. The 3rd party said my insurance is supposed to be the one dealing with his which I believe that is the procedure.
My vehicle is parked ,was asked to fix it by myself and was told my file was closed.I called them the following day to confirm again and was told to go fix my car.
This is the WORST INSURANCE EVER TO JOIN,the mattter took 3days and file was closed and knowing that I was not the wrong one when the accident occurred. I have submiited all the proof to my lawyers.
Oakhurst service is inefficient and those who think it is excellent ,well ,you have not seen anything yet.
