CHEAP & NASTY
My car was unfortunately written off due to me hitting a rock in the road. The insurance company mentioned above quickly assessed that my car needed to be written off due to future complications that could arise with the engine.I was told not to worry as my TOP UP/GAP COVER insurance would cover the short fall at the bank. Fast forward a month,I find a suitable replacement car, put the deposit down, arrange finance, arrange insurance, take delivery of vehicle, only to be advised a month later that sorry my top up or gap cover is not going to settle the balance at the bank, because of all the hidden clauses and calculations of what they DON'T cover. Basically, everything. Tx Oakhurst for having your customers back, by not advising this when the policy was sold to me. Actually when I was going through a difficult time, I wanted to cancel the Gap Cover and they call centre agent advised me not to cancel the policy as it would be beneficial to me. How has this been beneficial to me? Insurance companies are quick to sell you this wonderful product and quick to take your money, but when you need it most they are out of site. By the way, they don't sell this product anymore. WHY?
