Dear Phumzile,

The insured had a claim for an accident that occurred on 31 March 2018 under his Oakhurst Agile Policy which was cancelled due to no documents received.

As per our records, the insured have Comprehensive (Cash Settlement Only) Cover. We confirm the insured has chosen the ‘cash settlement’ cover option which means that all valid claims will be settled on a cash basis only. The settlement amount is calculated on the amount the Insurer would have spent on repairs to the insured’s vehicle. This means that all part prices and labour will be based on the amount it would cost the Insurer to repair the vehicle at their preferred repairers.

We confirm the insured did not furnish the Insurer with the outstanding documents (Quotations and Photo’s). As such, his claim was not finalised accordingly.

Should he wish to proceed with the claim, he may contact his Claims Handler who’s details are as follows for further assistance: Bukeka Tyalana, ***

We trust that the above explanation would suffice.
