OAKHURST HOTEL: DO NOT STAY THERE

Never stay at this place in George. It is a 1 star at most! R1600!!! You should be embarrassed as a fellow South African to be representing us like this!

I have never in my life written a bad review for anything on social media but I will for this experience:

1. No offer for help with my bag up the stairs until I asked. His attitude was shocking! 2. I had to clean the bath. My colleague in the other room offered her shower but said her towel was thin and bare so I should bring one. 3. Assured of power during load-shedding. None supp****. 4. Lights went out and sign on window says DO NOT OPEN for SAFETY reasons. Told by receptionist at 10:30 birds fly in so I should keep it shut. 5. Room Smelt terrible. I’m a non smoker and people had smoked in this room! It was revolting. At least be honest about this when asked too! 6. When electricity finally came on after mid night the Aircon remote batteries fell out as no back for remote and then Aircon didn’t cool the room. 7. Dinner: chicken schnitzel had More crumbs than chicken and was dry. My colleagues toast sandwich was awful. Everything we asked for on the menu was not available!

Could not wait to get out of room fast enough early this morning!
