Dishonesty and False Advertising of Property Rental

I went to view a beautiful a beautiful property to rent out last month, that both my sister and I viewed together. We both asked all of the important questions and after deliberating I said yes to taking on the room that was available (part of house share).

This Saturday gone 28th September 2021, I went to go and collect the keys for my new place, wheni got there and I did an inspection with the rental agent Dineo, she said that the aircon would cost too much to run which is why they removed it (I was initially told it was put in for anyone taking on the place) as I would now be paying prepaid electricity and that she will bring my rent down to R3800.00 instead. However when I signed my lease agreement, it was clearly agreed on that my full rental amount each month would be inclusive of water and electricity. Now I am verbally being told ( at the time) 3 days before I was due to move in, of the change to the lease agreement! I have been back and forth with reminding the agent (who is only an intern agent) that we have a signed lease agreement but she kept telling me that she spoke to the landlord who would give me the property fro R3800 and I kept repeating to her that I had already signed a binded contract stating that the water and electricity that was agreed on on messages, verbally and in the contract.

I was eventually blamed for the situation being my fault and that I didn't listen to her (Dineo) when I initially viewed the property, which it she did not and again said it's a misunderstanding. I have repeatedly been denied the Principal of O-Yes Properties and the landlords contact numbers due to the POPI act, I even asked her to get the principal and landlord to contact me which Dineo also denied and I got a long winded email back. I have also been denied my credit check money back of which I had to pay a ridiculous amount of R1085.00 doe it when it should only be around R100 to R300 (+-)

I have NEVER experienced anything like this and the unprofessional manner in which everything has been conducted. I am taking this situation further as O-Yes Properties have falsely advertised under misrepresentation and non-disclosure of which they have been dishonest!
