Complain

I thought I should share my experience maybe it will be a lesson to someone someday. We always talk about supporting our own, lets not wait for someone to come and give us a helping. Let's help and support our black business. After I lost my car due to an accident i was referred to Nyamane Motors for assistance. Before we can do anything I spoke with Themba the owner length about my challenges, struggles and my desperation for another car. He promised to assist me until we reach the rent to own agreement. He got me the car and when I go to collect it he said I must drive the car and if I experience any issues I must report them to him. 1st week of driving the car I experience a knock in the engine and I informed him about it. Long story short the car was then taken to workshop to be fixed. 4 months down the line I still dont have the car. Nyamane Motors has never done anything to ensure I get the car back from the workshop. The car to be attended I have to go to the workshop and ask question, throw my toys around and do things am not proud of. When I go back to Themba for assistance he will tell me that workshop they need to fix the car and claim from warranty, he doesnt say anything about what he is doing to ensure that I get the car am paying for back. According to the law below it's his responsibility to ensure that the car is fixed and returned to me but he failing in that.

In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, Sec 55 and 56, the vehicle must carry a six month warranty and must be suitable to be used for a reasonable time from date of purchase and all defects on the vehicle needs to be repaired and or replaced to standard at the supplier’s expense. If within 6 months after purchase the goods are found to be in contravention of the above, a consumer is allowed any of the following three options: Replacement, Repair or Refund. A consumer is allowed recourse to any of the above three options.

If you need peace of mind and value for your money dont buy a car from Nyamane Motors, they dont care about their customers and they dont follow the law. It clearly states that am allowed 3 options....replacement which he refused....repair which is now the 4th month I dont have the car....refund which both Nyamane Motors and Planet42 are refusing and even asking me for a cancellation fee. I've been ****med by both Nyamane Motors and Planet42

Be very careful when doing business with these people. I've approached consumer council for assistance and Themba from Nyamane Motors is not taking their calls. I might be the bad luck one experiencing this so please make sure you do your homework before entering into any business with these people
