AGAIN no response from help-desk and ridiculous new exam invigilation protocol
As a Distance Student, I am feeling INCREDIBLY overlooked and Ignored and equally frustrated for the following reasons:
1. I only ever get a response from this institution when I leave a bad review on HelloPeter.
2. It is exam season and my preparations have been nothing but stressful and uniformed BECAUSE Distance Students were only able to access our exam schedule/timetable (called a hall-ticket) LESS THAN 1 WEEK before the commencement of the exams.
3. The university has implemented a new system where we have to bring our cell-phones into the exam venue (distance students still write in-person exams at a venue) to use an invigilator app - even though there are invigilators in the venue - to upload scans of our answer scripts. I can understand why this has been implemented as some students flunk the 1st opportunity so that they can write the 2nd ONLINE opportunity.
My problem here is that I submitted a help-desk ticket OVER A WEEK AGO, asking if there would be available WiFi at the venues, as these apps are going to use large amounts of Data to upload scans. This help desk ticket has ONCE AGAIN gone ignored.
My problems are two things: 1. I have ONCE AGAIN been ignored on their so-called 'help-desk'
and
2. How are students expected to cover this data cost because the university fails to close loopholes in their exam opportunity process? Surely a stipend would be provided or at the very least a WiFi connection at venues.
