Sterling watch defaults must be paid by customers

i bought a sterling watch from NWJ on the 21st of March 2013, everything was fine with the watch and i was very happy with it.

in this year the dails of the watch came loose on the inside of the watch, I called 1 of the stores and i was told that because the watch only has a 1 year guarantee i would have to foot the bill. i then emailed the customer service who told me to take the watch into a store but before i could do that i received a mail that my customer service matter has been resolved, I emailed back saying that it was not the case and till today i have not received any email back.

I have taken the watch into a store on the 14th of July 2015, I was told that it would take a MONTH. I called the 2nd of September and i was told that they will follow up, they called me back and told me that they are just waiting on the head office to email the quotation to them. I went to the store today 4th of September still no quotation.

I called the customer service whom told me that i would have to pay as the watch is out of guarantee and takes 6 - 8 WEEKS!!! how is that even possible???

WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR A PRODUCT DEFAULT? regardless of the amount
