Selling broken things!!
I am absolutely gobsmacked by what just transpired now in the Westwood Mall, KZN branch of NWJ. I received a gift for my birthday, which was on the 11th January 2021. The watch was purchased on 10/01/2021 (all information regarding the warranty cards etc provided to the Westwood Mall store). The watch was purchased at the Bluff branch, which I then took to the Westwood Mall branch to adjust the links. The lady then adjusted it for me, and when I looked, immediately the watch was not ticking, so I asked her what is going on? She said she doesn't know and seemed irritated by me asking this. Told me I must take it somewhere else to get fixed. I was like what? THIS WATCH IS BRAND NEW, HASNT BEEN WORN!! Her response was, i don't know then? After much deliberation, she then said that she can book the watch in to get repaired!!! It is brand new!! I told the person who purchased the watch and he is absolutely livered!! On his way to the store now to get a full refund, return. How dare you sell a watch to us that is broken??? And the customer service from the lady who probably damaged the watch, while taking out the links, was putrid!!! Someone needs to contact me NOW regarding this!!! Cannot believe it. Its actually ********!!

I was quite bitter about the service received in the Westwood Mall branch, however, to my great satisfaction, the entire mishap was resolved within a few hours (by Darren and Auriel at the Bluff branch). I reached the Bluff branch at 5:30pm last night, with my issue been sorted out early this morning, when Darren called. This is the type of customer service and effort every business should aspire to. I am going home today, smiling, because my perception was changed almost immediately, by great employees of NWJ. Also, because I can now wear my very special birthday gift.
I will continue to speak of great experiences with the NWJ brand, especially The Bluff branch, and hope that all employees can take a page out of Darren's book. Great service again!! And thank you NWJ, for always bringing light and sparkle to my memories!!
