NWJ doesn't adhere to their own returns policy!

So today I went to NWJ in Canal Walk to return a ring that I no longer wanted. The store manager Shahid informs me that I cannot receive a cash refund since I paid with an Canal Walk Gift Card. The alternative refund is that they will have to give me R4000 worth of NWJ vouchers.

After him lying to me about the head office being closed, I politely gave the head office and spoke to Thabo which he then said that Shahid has told him that I was satisfied with the vouchers but how the hell could I be satisfied with the vouchers if he gave me no choice. I understand that he wont be able to give me the cash but then give me a canal walk card with the refund but even that proposal was denied.

Your returns policy strictly stipulates the following: Returns and Refunds If you are dissatisfied with any item purchased online for any reason, you may return it to any NWJ store within 30 days of receipt for an exchange, or within 10 working days of receipt for a refund, provided you have the original tax invoice, and the products you are returning are in a new, unworn and re-saleable condition and returned in the same NWJ jewellery box you received them in. The NWJ store that the item is returned to will in return forward the said order to head office for a refund or an exchange.

I just want my money back even if it is inform of an Canal Walk gift card but I am definitely going to settle down for this. Urgent intervention needs to take place.
