False advertising to get new accounts

On Thursday 12 August the above store got my girlfriend to apply for a new account with the promise of a R1100 voucher if the account is approved. Sounding like a great deal, she app****. The person said that this can be used immediately, and there was no terms and conditions explained. We were only in that area due to other business that needed to be conducted.<br> <br> On Sunday 16 August she gets a call that account is approved, and cared can be collected. Please note that we travelled from Centurion, where we lived, and upon getting the card, we were told the vouchers is out of stock. The person helping us said she will get a voucher from Menlyn, and we can come and collect it at a later stage... Advised this will not be possible as we do not reside in the area. After the person seeing I am getting irate, all of a sudden there is a voucher available.<br> <br> Low and behold, this is not what we were promised. This voucher is broken down in 4 catagories, and one has to basically spend an arm and a leg to use one portion of the voucher. <br> <br> This is false advsertising and reeks of desperation. I will contact the consumer counsil and see what they say about this...<br> <br>
