False Advertising

<p>After years of being an NWJ customer I was really disappointed by the service I received at the Northgate branch this past Sunday (18/12/2016) when my two children and I went in to take up the special offer for “3 for 2” Nomination Links Special NWJ are currently running. We thought that was a perfect option for my wife for this Christmas.</p> <p>After we requested to see the links they had in stock we continued to select the three we liked and during the processes the one assistant asked us if we were taking the special, which I confirmed. Not once during the process did the assistants indicate that there were any limitations on the type or value of links we could select. Once we had the three we liked we were then informed that the “free” link had to be one of the R399 range, and since all three we selected where R499 the third link didn’t qualify for the special.</p> <p>There were now two assistants arguing with us, one being an assistant manager who then went to call the Manager to confirm this the Manager confirmed their interpretation of the special.</p> <p>Now when the wording of the of the special is exactly this: “Purchase 3 precious links and receive the lowest priced item for free” I cannot see where it limits which three I can select or that the free one must be the cheapest link NWJ stock.</p> <p>I refused the deal and walked of the shop with my kids and after many years of being a customer this will be the last time I set foot in and NWJ store.</p>
