Beware buying watches, from certain jewelry, dealers!

We recently bought a ladies watch from NWJ Jewelers, in Springs, Mall. Within a few days of wear, the watch lost it's, crown!! I have had a lot of watches before, but losing a crown, is something else! The watch was sent to the factory head office in, Umhlanga Rocks, Kwazulu Natal. The Springs store contacted us on 25.11.2020, stating that the watch has been returned, for collection. But guess what? The watch cost R499. 00, and was sold with a 1 year, warranty. We had to pay in R240.00, upon collection, as the loss of physical parts, is not covered under the, warranty! I am a Qualified/Certified Senior Auditor in ISO 9***, Quality Management, Systems, and this warranty terms is actually, laughable, in my humble opinion. Be carefull when you buy watches, from this business. (PS, we also bought an engagement ring to the value of R9, 500.00, during the same week, from the same, store).
