My old geyser burst six weeks after having it converted to solar power by NuPower Solar. They quoted on the replacement and, when the insurer-appointed contractor refused to take on the task (because they'd damaged a solar installation previously), NuPower installed the new geyser on Friday 29 May.

I noticed the thermal properties were very much worse that they had been with the old geyser, so I checked how the job had been done. I noticed the geyser blanket had just been laid on top of the geyser, and the insulation on the pipes had not been replaced. I called NuPower to complain around 09:00 on Monday 1 June.

About 11:30, they were here to remedy the situation, and by 13:30 everything was done. The thermal properties are back to where they were with the old geyser.

I was very happy with the initial solar installation and, although there was a problem with replacing the geyser, I'm very happy with the quick response to my complaint.

I can wholeheartedly recommend NuPower Solar as a company that stands by its promises.
