Bad service

My motor vehicle was involved in an accident and my insurance company referred me to Nungu trading panelbeater for repairs. At first a very pleasant lady from the panelbeater had spoken to me regarding the booking in of the vehicle. I felt at that stage im in good hands. However it all seemed to go pear shaped when I arrived at the panel beater to book my vehicle in. The two people at the reception desk seemed to squabble over who is going to do the check list for my car. Neither of them seemed to have any manners. The gentleman who spoke just began speaking and I had to automatically assume he was speaking to me. A short while later another man came out to do a check list in my vehicle which he indicated will take a long time and that I would be faxed or emailed a copy. So I left. I never received such copy to date. A few days passed since the booking in of my vehicle and i had received no communication so I sent an email requesting updates. I was informed that the parts had been ordered and the last part was to be expected on the afternoon of the 24 th of July 2017. I did indicated at the time my car was booked in that I travel to Johannesburg for work and my child needs to attend school. I again indicated this in the email and requested assistance to get the vehicle sorted out as soon as possible. So now we in second week of my vehicle begining booked in. The reply I received is that agents have to supply the parts and therefore nothing can be done until parts arrived. I followed up to ask what parts are outstanding. To my horror I received an email stating that these are still outstanding : Front bumper cover
Left front bumper bracket
Right front bumper bracket
Front cross member
Bumper trim grille
Radiator grille
Bonnet
Left front headlamp
Right front headlamp. I was amazed since I was informed prior that only one part was to arrive in the 24th. I then rep**** that since my vehicle has been idle at their premises I suggested I collect it and when parts do arrive. Further arrangements can be made to repair. I had no response via email. I had received an sms in capital letters stating that I will be updated once a week regarding my vehicle and that parts are still outstanding. I then contacted my insurance company to lodge a concern on 28 th July 2017. I had cc'd the insurance company on all emails prior. Then I get calls from the panelbeater agitated that I had complained to the insurance company. The man who spoke to me was Gert. He sounded upset that I didn't understand the process of waiting for parts and how he worked. He also claimed that all parts were received and no part is outstanding. Further that the vehicle has been repaired and is being prepped for painting and that I can fetch my car in the 31 st of July 2017 after 3 pm. When I cross examined him he let slip that the cradle was outstanding. When I further questioned him how can the vehicle be fixed then. He snapped at me saying look ma'am your vehicle will be ready for you to collect on the 31st Ok! He also claimed that he read the emails and he said I didn't understand the emails, it was miscommunication. I explained I had been without a vehicle for two weeks. And wether there was a courtesy vehicle available for me. He said he had two courtesy vehicles: the one was ****** this year and the other a customer had a major accident also this year and therefore he did not have a courtesy vehicle available for me. Day of collection of my vehicle, again Gert gave a long agitated speech about how parts were needed and how the insurance company pressures them to source pirate parts and he doesn't do that. Obviously he was still upset that I had contacted my insurance company and raised my concerns. I inspected my car, it looked a bit better, the bumper and bonnet was fixed, the radiator was held in place. The paint job was not 100 percent. But it was decent. I could tell that the repair on my vehicle was a rushed job. What I know for sure, is that if I did not raise concerns about my vehicle to my insurance company and follow up on the repair process I would not have my vehicle repaired as soon as possible. Also at the time I booked my car in at the said panel beater, my fuel tank had half a tank of fuel, my car is an Atos hyundai. What surprised me is that the fuel was reduced to a quarter. As a customer I did not feel valued, my concerns fell on deaf ears who could not be bothered that I had to go to work to support my family and that my child needed to attend school. I refused to be silenced that's why Gert was upset. Atos hyundai parts are not difficult to obtain. The most time for my vehicle to have been repaired would have taken a week. I had to wait two weeks and incurr unnecessary transport costs. My child is now back at school and is feeling lost regarding his school work. We have to play catch up on weekends. Thanks for your lack of customer relations Nungu trading I will never make use of your services again. What a horrible experience!!!!!
