People with comp tickets

This is more of a request than a complaint, but what happened to me and my family, including a friend and her child was embarrassing and uncomfortable.

I bought tickets for 3 adults and 3 children, all aged under 4 years, this is the basis of the first part of this complaint/request. The cost for all the tickets was R410 -00 and this was with a clicks card used. For adults only sure the price might be ok, but kids of that age, it's extremely high. It really is just to much, a movie with kids will be our last resort from now on.

Then we move on to your computer program the ticket salesman uses. It took a very long time to process the tickets, first off, the seats in the cinema are 5 seats per row, we are 6 people, so we agreed to take 4 seats in one row and 2 seats for our friend and her child directly above us, so for the kids to be able to interact, your system does not allow this. Even the salesman working the shift on 10th June 2016 at emperors palace around 18:30, got frustrated because the line of people started to get full as people waited for us to finish. The screen only allowed full row of 5 seats and the 6th in a next row.

Eventually I saw on the screen a row with three seats booked already for someone else, I told the salesman to clear the current selection and select those two seats next to booked 3 first and then 4 seats the row before it, it worked, all relieved and ready to move on.

Then the second issue came up, the card reader couldn't read our nu metro cards and there was no alternative way to either punch then manually or scan a barcode or something. This took a considerable amount of time to get the nu metro cards swiped, finally we crossed this hurdle and our tickets were printed.

After waiting for the movie start time and kids getting excited to watch the movie, angry birds, we finally made our way to the cinema, we headed straight towards our seats and guess what, they were occupied.

So this isn't something that hasnt happened to me before, so I calmly and in a friendly manner ask the people to please move as my tickets show those seats.

I then get told that they can't sit in their precooked seats across the Isle as other persons were occupying their seats. So I then go across the Isle and ask those persons to move and I then get told that they have complementary tickets and we're told by the manager to sit wherever they felt like.

By this time the movie has started we with our under 4 years of age kids are standing around in the dark in the middle of the cinema blocking a few people's few of the screen trying to sort out this mess that was caused by one of your managers.

The poor people that was sitting on our seats decided to scatter themselves through the cinemas random available seats as they realised we were there with young children and realised how uncomfortable we were.

The complimentary ticket holders felt they did nothing wrong as the "manager" told them to sit wherever they felt.

So we finally sat down and enjoyed our movie.

My request is simple, look into you booking software and fix the bugs, we are in a revolutionary age and seeing that your prices are so ridiculously high, I'm sure you can afford to fix it. And lastly when you give out complimentary tickets, please assign seats to the so that people don't have to sort out your mess in the dark.

Hope this message is received as constructive criticism.

Regards

Bennie
