Nu metro canal walk popcorn

Recently went to watch John wick 4 with family of 5

Previously came to watch Jurassic park with family and bought popcorn with cool drink - the popcorn experience was so bad, it was so stale and had no crunch in it to the fact that straight after the movie all of us experienced a bout of diarrhea for 3/7 days

This time we went to watch John wick4 , I tried the popcorn again and there was no difference, this time informed the manager, to which he gave us freshly made popcorn and the results were staggering, it was not old at all and a big difference in taste and flavour

My question is : who regulates the food sold at num metro with regards to quality being sold to the public?

Would the CEO of nu metro be happy to take his family out, spend more than R1000 of hard earned money, with an experience of stale, distasteful and diarrhea causing popcorn ?
