Horrible experience at Nu Metro Menlyn

On the 30th of June, we took my two daughters to see How To Train Your Dragon in 4Dx as it was our eldest daughter's birthday. We arrived as the previews were playing, and as we were walking up the dimly lit tunnel, with tiny strips of red reflective tape indicating the edges of the stairs (with me in front leading everyone) , I crashed off the third step, as the reflective tape was so dim. It took me a full five minutes to get up, as I was in so much pain from what I thought was a twist ankle. I didn't want to spoil my daughter's birthday treat, and eventually limped to my seat. By the time the movie was over, I could barely walk, and limped my way to the car, where the car guard kindly called someone to take my report and we were encouraged to contact Nu Metro's help desk. By the time I got home and was able to take off my flat boots, my foot was so swollen it looked like half a ball. Next day we saw the doctor and By then I couldn't put ANY weight on it. I was told I had torn tendons and fractured metatarsals. We took photos of my foot and wrote about the whole experience and sent it to the help desk, who forwarded it to Nu Metro 's Menlyn manager, and to be fair, he contacted us fairly quickly saying he was compiling a report to send to their legal department. We followed up again yesterday, and again the manager called saying he'd sent the report through to legal. I know he's done his job, but I feel like legal are hoping we'll just forget about it.

I find it extremely disgusting that they can charge so much for tickets, obtain an alcohol license, sell fancy snacks like wraps and burgers, but they cannot make the lighting on the steps brighter and easier to see? I'm not going away, we saved up to make her day special, and although I gritted my teeth and sat through the movie, I couldn't cook her her special Birthday meal. You made me break a promise because you don't put the safety of your patrons first.
