DO NOT Purchase Nu Metro Vouchers - impractical

Good day

I have FOUR x 3D vouchers but there are not many movies that play in 3D. In Fact, at Canal Walk and Waterfront in Cape Town, there were no 3D movies playing.

I enquired from Nu Metro whether I could use the vouchers to watch 2D movies instead? Cheaper movies than what the vouchers cost.

And I was met with the most generic and apathetic response from TWO different Nu Metro Helpdesk/ Customer Care Agents. They either did not understand my request, or refused to try to find a solution! Because that's just too much work for these people.

Their so called customer care response: "We do understand your frustration and value your feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. In addition, as my colleague mentioned below; if you have a 3D voucher it cannot be used for a 2D film – these voucher can also not be down-or-upgraded. Nu Metro cinemas are an exhibitor, screening films to which format are determined from their studios and not a decision Nu Metro’s entitled to."

They did'nt even TRY to solve the problem. Instead they make excuses or blame the studios! The studios didnt develop Nu Metros voucher system!

Nu Metro does not understand the concept of CUSTOMER CARE!

Their system is not user friendly at outlets... As it doesn't allow cashiers to use the voucher code towards other movie types.

What's the point in allowing vouchers only for a certain type of movie? Especially when they dont have those movie experiences in 3D - seems like a ****?!

This prevents users to watch movies especially if most movies at the moment are 2D or 3D extreme or VIP.

SOLUTION: The vouchers should be for a cash amount that can be used towards watching any movie type at any Nu Metro cinema - thats common sense, which clearly the marketing people at Nu Metro does not have!

Vouchers that are unrestricted to a specific type of movie experience would be more practical and adds more value to consumers. Marketing 101.

Or is the goal to make life hard for movie customers?

No wonder cinema attendance has been on the decline!

So DONT BUY their voucher, its not use friendly or practical! Its literally money wasted - you may as well burn the vouchers if they dont offer the movie in the experience the voucher was purchased for.
