Bad service/incompetence/dishonesty

Yesterday, 7 May 2019 my 2 friends and I went to Nu Metro VIP to watch Avengers: End Game. We got there at 1pm and the lady that assisted us showed us the 3 movie times: 1pm, 4:45 and 8:30pm - the 8:30 was fully booked, the 4:45pm did not have 3 seats next to each other in a row, but the 1pm did - right at the back. I commented that the movie started at 1pm and it was 1:05pm - the lady said not to worry as the movie started at 1:20pm due to trailers.

So in light of this I went ahead and bought 3 VIP tickets which cost R150 each. We went to the refreshment counter to place our orders and it was 1:17pm when I opened the door to Cinema 13 and saw that the movie had already started.

I called one of the staff outside and asked why the movie was already on, if the ticket sales lady said it started at 1:20pm - they could not answer me - so I asked that they rewind the movie, as I did not want to miss the beginning of the movie. They would not do so.

At the end of the movie, we asked one of the people sitting next to us in the movie house - how long the movie had been playing. He commented that he had been 5 minutes late (1:03pm) and the movie was already on.

So in other words, we have missed 15-20 minutes of the movie.

That is utter ******* - you cannot have sales people saying we can book for 1pm show as it starts at 1:20pm and in fact the movie started basically at 1pm or just a minute or two after. We pay alot for these tickets (R150) and its not like you get a complimentary drink or anything and now on top of that we have to miss the beginning of the movie due to bad service / or dishonest staff/employees.

The service or lack thereof is just disgusting !!! We pay for everything, but we get dishonest service and nobody seems to care about the customer. So now I have to pay again somewhere else to watch the beginning of the movie - so more of my money 'wasted' due to incompetence !!!
