BABY RUINING MOVIE EXPERIENCE

This afternoon, I took my 10 year old daughter to see The Jungle Book at Nu Metro The Glen. We decided to treat ourselves and I bought 2 tickets for The Jungle Book in the VIP theatre. It would've been an awesome experience except for the + - 18 month old baby sitting behind us. Before I continue, I have to say that my daughter was very much interrogated about her age because they "Nu Metro The Glen" takes age restrictions on movies very serious and you have to be at least 10 to watch The Jungle Book. If this is the case, exactly why on earth is a + - 18 month old baby allowed in a movie theatre???? At times the baby was so loud that you could barely hear the movie!!! I don't care if that person didn't have a babysitter for their baby, a baby doesn't belong in a movie theatre and this should have never been allowed by the Nu Metro staff in the first place. It is R120 per ticket for the "VIP experience" - we might as well have waited for the movie to come out on DVD and watched it at home then I could've listened to my own 2-year old screaming. What a waste!!! I couldn't leave my daughter in the movie theatre on her own so that I can go to complain but I did speak to the Nu Metro staff afterwards. Their very unhelpful response was "yes, it's not right" without even lifting themselves off the table they were leaning on. Please note that this was not the staff in the VIP section but the ones that were gathered at the ticket collection table at the top of the walkway ramp. Three staff members in fact. Nu Metro should have one set of rules for everyone!! Not just for some and not others!!! Mothers, if you do not have a babysitter for your baby, stay at home and do not come to the movies!!!!
