Relentless Harassment by NuDebt for Disputed ER Consulting Bill with No Proof and No Accountability

For several months now, I have been subjected to relentless harassment by NuDebt Management, who are collecting on behalf of ER Consulting Inc. for a medical bill that I do not acknowledge and have formally disputed multiple times.

The alleged debt is said to be for treatment provided to my minor daughter. However:

No such treatment was rendered.

I personally paid the hospital for the consultation and blood tests at the time.

There was no admission or additional medical procedure.

Despite repeated written requests, ER Consulting has never provided detailed treatment records — only a basic invoice.

From the start, the communication has been disorganized and deeply concerning. I have received:

Over 40 SMS messages

More than 30 emails

Daily phone calls, often addressed incorrectly to Mr Singh, Ms Singh, Mr Pillay, and Ms Pillay — a clear sign of confusion and carelessness

Even worse, I was sent another person’s billing statement with their full personal details. This is a blatant violation of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and raises serious concerns about how personal data is handled by both NuDebt and ER Consulting.

I have explained the situation to over eight different consultants, yet none have offered any assistance or resolution. Every conversation ends with the same script: “You must pay or we will list you.” It’s robotic, dismissive, and completely ignores the fact that the matter is under formal dispute.

ER Consulting has not responded to my repeated emails either, and continues to escalate the matter without providing the proof they themselves claimed to have.

This has caused significant emotional stress and anxiety. I am now being told I have three different outstanding amounts, none of which I recognise. Each day brings new threats of being blacklisted within 24 hours — but still, no proof of any legitimate service rendered.

I have reported this matter to:

The National Credit Regulator (NCR)

The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

The Financial Ombud

Various consumer protection organisations

To date, no help has been provided by any of these bodies, and NuDebt’s harassment continues unchecked.

This is a disturbing pattern of behaviour by both NuDebt and ER Consulting — involving:

Misidentification

Data privacy breaches

Failure to provide documentation

Refusal to acknowledge a formal dispute

Continued aggressive collection tactics, including repeated threats of blacklisting

This is not just a billing issue — it’s a case of administrative failure, ********* collection practice, and outright disregard for personal rights.

I am sharing this so that others are made aware, and hopefully, so these companies are finally held accountable for the way they treat people.
