A4 Audi 1.8T - taken in for service since January
My experience was extremely bad, they don't even consider their clients' feelings. In 2016, they lost my car keys when i had taken my car in for service and have not yet replaced it up to now. I had taken my car in in January to be serviced since there was no compression which they could not identify but I had to tell them myself. My insurance for my warranty paid an amount of R33 300 for fixing the valve in cylinder 2. On the 25 May, I was told the car is ready so I collected but I didn't even drive a 40km distance, the engine seized. I had to tow the car back to Audi East London Abbotsford branch, the workshop manager was not in, i had to go back again to meet with him on the 30th, Mr Peter Voss. To my surprise, they had not even looked at the car and he could not answer me as to what was the problem with the car, however, he promised to look into it until August 26th, there was no feedback. I wrote a letter to Audi South Africa ********** then I was allocated Port Elizabeth Customer Interaction Centre who then was the one who communicated with me and was outraged by the East London branch's lack of communication with me, however promised the engine will be replaced. On the 30th October i had a meeting with Morne Schwartz, the new workshop manager, who confirmed about all the tests they had done and still doesn't know the cause of the damage but insinuating that it is a catalytic converter that became faulty. Until now, there is nothing they have done to resolve my issue. Unpleasant service indeed.
