Hallo Peter, I purchased my brand-new 2023 Polo Vivo from VW, and as a first-time driver I did not have much knowledge about cars at the time. Recently, after almost two years, I noticed that the wheel caps on my vehicle appear to be **** or improperly fitted, as they look pasted on and glue is visible from the inside. The wheel caps are also starting to come off. I raised this matter with the sales manager at Paarl VW, but instead of assisting me, I was informed that I am the one who tampered with the wheel caps and that I would need to replace them at my own expense for R2600. However, when I took the vehicle for a service in Vredenburg, the staff there also noticed what appears to be a factory fault. Unfortunately, they advised that they are unable to assist further because the vehicle was not purchased through their branch. I am disappointed by the way this matter has been handled, especially considering that the vehicle was bought brand new and I have never tampered with the wheel caps in any way.
