NTT Kimberley

I bought my son a car at NTT Volkswagen in Kimberley for his 18th birthday. (Which is today) Initially everything went smooth, until the day I signed the contract.

Now 3 months later, I still do not have a license for the car. The car is parked, because without a valid license, it is not roadworthy. My insurer will not pay any claims if I drive it now.

The salesman (Jaco) is trying his best to assign all blame to me. For example he send me a mail this morning to say his driver was on the way to pick up the car. I was not at home and could not make arrangements at short notice. They want to take the car out of town to have it put through the test. I indicated that this could not be done since his driver is not on my insurance. He now claims I refuse to assist...not true, they have had months and have been dragging their feet, cancelled appointments etc.

I will be seeking legal assistance. My son got his car today, but he cannot drive it. I am fed up with this nonsense. Over the last few years I have bought 4 cars from VW (new Amarok 132kw, New Kombi and Tiguan R Line just before lockdown) This experience makes me reconsider my future purchases.
