Defective good as per the Consumer Protection Act
I bought a vehicle @ NTT Volkswagen Worcester on the 11 June 2019, the car had no problems, two weeks ago my EPC light went on and the car went into Limb mode. I contacted NTT Volkswagen where the manger arranged with Barrons VW Bellville to repair the vehicle. After a diagnostic test was done and the vehicle failed the test, the service adviser from Barons phoned the manager of NTT Worcester, Mr Theo Willemse, where he Mr Willemse informed him to quote me because he is not going to take responsibility for payment. I fetched the vehicle from Barons and contacted Mr Willemse, I made him aware of the CPA and the obligation that dealerships has to comply with the Act. He told me to feel free to lodge my complaint but he is not going to take responsibility for the defect on the vehicle. I have e-mailed his superior Mr Willem Burger to inform him about my dealings with Mr Willemse, I am still awaiting his response. I will be placing an article with a few newspapers as this seems to be one of the dealerships that is flouting the CPA.
