Brand New Isuzu Bakkie Defective Within 2 Days – Repaired Without Consent & Still Faulty

Review: We are extremely disappointed with the service received from NTT Isuzu Makhado, and we are now directly calling on Isuzu South Africa to urgently intervene in this matter. We purchased a brand new Isuzu bakkie and collected it on the 19th. By the 21st (just two days later), the vehicle already had a serious defect — water leaking into the interior during rain. We reported this immediately and clearly stated that we wanted a replacement vehicle, as this is a brand-new car with what appears to be a manufacturing defect. We have all communication on record confirming this request. Despite this, the dealership proceeded to repair the vehicle without our consent this past Monday. Even more concerning, after the repair (completed yesterday), the problem still persists and the vehicle is still leaking. This is completely unacceptable. As consumers, we should not be expected to accept repairs on a brand-new vehicle that was defective within days of purchase. This raises serious concerns about quality control and customer care. This situation has caused significant stress, inconvenience, and loss of time, including unnecessary travel. We are now formally requesting a full replacement vehicle, as we believe this defect is material and ongoing. Isuzu South Africa, we urge you to step in and resolve this matter urgently and fairly. If not, we will have no choice but to escalate this further through the relevant consumer protection channels.
