Good day. Well springs SPCA had a anonymous phonecall to say that our amimal/animals hsve been abandoned. I recieved a letter that stated if i do not call, further action willbe taken.
I did call. The lady told me that someone had called and reported that our pet had been abandoned. My point is that, we all go to work and leave our pets behind. So does the SPCA expect us to take our pets to work. We are not the only residents living in our area. So every anonymous call they react to. I feel thats its harrassment. COZ MYSELF AND HUBBY ARE NOT THE ONLY RESIDENT'S THAT GOES TO WORK AND LEAVE OUR PETS BEHIND.
SPCA SHOULD GET THEIR FACTS. AND NOT BELIEVE EVERY YOM **** OR HARRY THAT CALLS.
WE HAVE REAL JOBS. OUR PETS ARE NOT ABANDONED. THEY ARE TAKEN CARE OFF.
I FEEL THAT THIS IS INVASION OF ONES PRIVACY.

20 Apr 2023, 16:32Dear Ms. Engelbrecht, I am terribly sorry you feel that your privacy has been invaded by our notice to comply, please let me elaborate for better understanding. The letter that was left for you requesting that you contact the SPCA regarding you animal/s within 24 hours or further action may be taken is a standard letter that is issued in order for us to make contact, in the event that contact is not made this letter serves to also advise that we could take further action should we feel the animal/s may be compromised. The SPCA has to attend to all complaints/ reports that are called through to us, yes sadly many of these are in actual fact vexatious. Despite this we follow through in the event that there is in actual fact welfare concerns/ cruelty. We appreciate that you did make contact with us and your co-operation in us conducting this inspection in order to lay this matter to rest. We do understand that people work and some very long hours, we ourselves are in the same situation with our animals this however does not mean they have been abandoned. Please understand that this is not a personal vendetta against you from the Springs SPCA, we are merely following our mandate and ensuring all calls are addressed. Trust this clears things up.
