Worst day

Today stared to be the best day ever, And the it turned just like that. I volunteered my Time at Brakpan SPCA, and I was supper excited about it. I arrived there an it was straight to work everyone is busy doing stuff, I didn’t get a proper interdiction on what to do and what not, I helped with feeding and then cleaning, washed about 50+ dog bowls and then I was instructed to take out the blankets, all the main gates are open and I didn’t wanted to question that( I mean I’m the new guy what do I know) so I took out all the blankets and at the last cage I little Dog made a run for it, I ran after him and could get him, I already felt like ****, we were searching for him and I said to the lady I am truly sorry, and she said you better FU**** get that dog. After about 2 hours of searching they gave the rest of the SPCA staff a lift back to the facility and left me walking back, when I got there The lady in charge could come to me and talk to me like an Adult would, she send one of her staff members to tell me I should leave. And when I questioned her about the way she handled things and why the gates are open.? She chased me off the premises. I already feel so Bad for losing the poor animals, I would of understand if she creamed at me, but the way she handled it makes me mad, why isn’t volunteers properly instructed, why are all the gates open. I honestly hope the dog is found and will return safe to the facility.
