Unthinkable service

Up on visiting the Grassy Park SPCA today to collect my Dog Shadow after he was impoundEd by a Law Enforcement officer last week, who inform us that we should apply to the Chief in writting .in which I did and was informed everyday that he Mr Wentzel was waiting on the docket pertaining our case. When I arrived at the Grassy Park SPCA to collect my Dog I was again told they could not release him as they need the docket from Law Enforcement, only after I explained and started crying that I want my dog as Me Wentzel said that they might have already put him down. the last then went to find his paper work after a while she came back to inform me that she had bad news and that Shadow was put down.I am very dissapointed and very hurt and saddened by the way this whole thing went. all because of sick neighbours who has nothing better to do but complain and had an inoccent dog ****ed.to those who raised and inserted the needle into my dogs neck I hope you sleep well at night. as you not only ****ed a dog but someone's loving pet a companion and carerer .I thought that the SPCA is a place where there is no cruelty to animals you were not only cruel but barbaric

You did not consult with me who have you permission to **** my dog

We apologise for the delay in response as we were only made aware of your post now.

The SPCA act as the Pound on behalf of the Metro and animals that are impounded by Law Enforcement do not belong to the SPCA, but to the Municipality until such time as Law Enforcement receives an order in terms of the animal.

The details of the case are not known to the SPCA and the matter should be taken up with the Metro's Law Enforcement officers who would have requested the euthanasia of your dog.

We suggest that comment is obtained from Law Enforcement who are more equipment to respond to the reasons and contents of the case.

Kind regards
