Springs spca
Springs spca is the worst place ever.the say the are there to help animals but its all lies .i asked for help to fix my cat .they said say sorry you must pay first R600 then we will help you.i don't have that money right now. Then after i told them how disgraceful they are for running after money and not helping a animal in need.they tell me im a irresponsible cat owner for not getting my cat fixed..but i just asked for help...my advice don't go to them dont give them donations.they are selfish heartless humans

14 Apr 2023, 15:15Dear Pixie M, Springs SPCA is terribly sorry you feel an injustice has been done by us advising yourself that a payment is required for the sterilization of your cat. Sadly we do not have a veterinarian at our facility that we are able to assist people not able to pay for these services. We utilize vets that require prompt payment and without settled bills they will not afford us any further services. We have worked hard to source really good rates for sterilizations for our community as we do understand not everyone is able to pay the rates the veterinarians ask. With close on 5000 animals passing through our premises between 01/04/2022 and the 31/03/2023, we require all donations that are made to us to care for these animals which you can well imagine is a pretty penny. Due to the mandate of the SPCA being the prevention of cruelty to animals our donations are focused on such services as well as our running costs such as utilities, electricity, water, rates, taxes, salaries, vet bills, petrol, vehicle insurance and maintenance, facility maintenance and consumables etc. Kindest regards SPCA Springs Manager
