SPCA Welkom should be closed down !!!

My cross Siamese kitten went missing a few weeks ago and yesterday I saw a photo of her in the Vista Newspaper. My husband took me to the Welkom SPCA early this morning. I was told to go and identify the kitten which I did - I saw her and said \helloTammy my baby Mommy is going to take you home". I even showed them a photo of her on my cell phone. We were told that we had to pay R400.00 and that they would not give her to me until she had been sterilised. The SPCA in Welkom cry out for help for people to adopt helpless animals but they are not prepared to even reason with a person. In fact the rudeness and attitude leaves much to be desired. I really love my kitten and really want her back but definitely not on their terms. Something should be done about the SPCA in Welkom. We are from Johannesburg and the SPCA there is entirely different - helpful"
