SPCA unkindness
My parents pets were reported to the SPCA IN Vereeniging because of a skin disorder that flared up during their move from durban to.the free state. We have purchased skin emollients and medication that would heal their skin after treatment ...SPCA lady insists that if pets are not taken to a vet,,she will pick all the animals up and probably incinerate them.our dogs are old and are part of the family.we have all grown up with them and even have our family surname. My mom is devastated by the SPCA decision.her animals are her life. What happens if a vet is unaffordable for pensioners? Is not the SPCA a service that should suggest an alternate action ,in preserving the lives of animals? The lady is adamant that the dogs will be picked up by Friday if not taken to a vet.how do we afford these payments?is this compassion and love for animals?they are not even prepared to check on what lengths my parents have gone to ,to insure the well-being of their animals. I am very disappointed at the lack of compassion and common kindness.... This will definitely affect my moms health as well , as her dogs are her children as well. I will have faith that a miracle will happen before Friday.....

Please note that I have no dispute with the SPCA as a whole and neither would I contravene the Act in any way .I respect and hold this body in very high esteem.
My dispute was with the service received .
I was given an ultimatum , not any suggestions ,no advice , and no assistance at all from the SPCA IN question. What held my attention were the words , court or animals will be picked up if not taken to a Vet for proper medical attention, at the specified date given. In my text above "if" , (hypothetically )was used , worse case scenario .
Compassion and kindness is so lacking in today's world. Acts and prosecution are so quickly and easily given out.
I have an appointment with a Vet tomorrow and will have the official paper you require as proof ,available for you , upon your next inspection.
Thank you National Council of SPCA , once again , for taking the time to respond .
I hope and pray that others less fortunate than me ,with animals that they adore , will be given the "time of day" , not mandates ,and maybe even an extended effort....when it comes to man's best friend..
