SPCA NOT A PLEASURE DEALING WITH THEM!!!

My little dog was hit by a car last night , leg broken. SPCA have no emergency facilities! We phone a number we got from google ,end speaking to Wendy who advises Grassy park nurse will open for us to assist, get there , this guy just ask 'is it a stray?' , we say no its our dog , he then just walked away on the phone with Wendy saying its not a stray and turned us away! Like really ? This is people suppose to be caring for animals and turns a dog in pain away!? Becoz he belongs to us? I got the feeling that if it was a stray, they would've just KILLED the dog and NOT HELP AT ALL! We end up at a private vet in Kenilworth ,who helped immediately but we couldnt afford R15 000 to fix his leg, they kept over night for pain meds and to monitor him, this morning fetched him and took him to SPDA Bridgetown where the service is SO SLOW and nonchalant about our emergency, told us \sit in the line". It saddens me and breaks my heart that this is the people our animals need to go to for medical help :( Where is the \""Protect our animals\"" motto or just simple human emotion of taking care of the hurt & injured. Pathetic really - I'm disgusted at the service."""
