SPCA NEWCASTLE KZN
Newcastle SPCA.
We have tried to phone you and even sent an e-mail with regards to a problem which we are extremely concerned about
This involves an elderly old pensioner whom was abandoned by a family member
She now is in distress in order to take care of a bunch of dogs and puppies
We are helping where we can. But we are NOT the welfare and we are NOT part of the SPCA
We have turned to you in an effort to get help
WHAT A WAKE-UP CALL!!!!
Rudeness in overload The lady from the SPCA was extremely rude by putting the phone down twice without listening to the facts
Now I dare you mam to post the phone call exactly as it happened
You were the one that lost your cool and put the phone down twice
Your actions was totally out of line and beyond rude
Is there any SPCA member out there that can help in this matter
Your kind and urgent attention will be appreciated
Best regards,
Best regards,
Good day, Firstly, we cannot trace any email either in our Junk Mail or admin address whatsoever. Secondly we have not been given an address to collect animals from nor any contact details from the owner of these animals. If the owner does not want to surrender them then the SPCA cannot take her animals away. We would have to try and find out her predicament and then take it from there. BUT we need an address or contact details, none of which was given to us. With regard to the rude lady which is me. I was far from rude. Trying to explain anything to this gentleman was impossible. All he was concerned about was the poor old lady NOT the animals that were NOT in any state of welfare. Therefor this was not an emergency and could be dealt with on the Monday (today). As he would not listen to anything I said, the conversation became heated as he would not HEAR what I was trying to say so I asked him why he was being rude to ME in front of my husband. His response is what decided me to cut the call as is told by NSPCA for us to do in such situations. There are no amount of threats that the public give us that can make us do their bidding and not the owners bidding. The SPCA takes all matters pertaining to animal welfare under the APA 71 of 1962 seriously but in this case it appears to be human welfare issue. Regards, Heather Gero
