SPCA AMANZIMTOTI - USELESS STAFF MEMBER!

I have a neighbor with 2 large dogs, that are usually kept in his yard. These dogs however keep finding their way out of the yard and run to my gate and instigate a fight between my dogs.

Called SPCA, Amanzimtoti, and was told that they cannot do anything because the dogs are not confined. I explained to tracey that I have attempted putting them back in their yard, and they attempt to attack me, which sends my dogs into protective mode. Her rude response, was that they cannot do anything unless i keep the dogs in an enclosed area. My conclusion is that tracey needs to learn how to deal with people and do her job. The next day I was advised my Michelle and then Luke, who actually took a drive to see the problem.

Dear Ms Daniel  Firstly we apologise if you felt your request was not handled correctly.  Unfortunately we do not have the resources nor the funding to spend time trying to catch animals running around outside of their properties. This is therefore an issue that the Metro Police take on as it is a contravention of the by-laws.  Our  Manager explained to you that if you could confine the animals we would collect them once our Inspector was back in the office.  If these dogs continue to escape and cause a nuisance please contact Metro Police who will then have a chat to the owners.  Yours sincerely Michelle Thompson Vice Chair Amanzimtoti SPCA Management Committee
