Parys SPCA
Email written to SPCA head office.
Good day, Regarding my puppy Chucky, taken by the Parys SPCA.
My puppy got out about a month ago, someone called the SPCA and they picked 3 of my dogs up. It was two Yorkies and a Pitbull.
I searched for my dogs and finally found them at the SPCA. They charged me R570 in order to get them back. I told them we don't have that kind of money seeing that I am the only one working. They forced me to make an affidavit saying I will pay. I love my dogs so knowing I won't be able to pay, I did it anyway and thought that I will go pay as soon as I can.
A month later someone stole my male puppy from my house. I posted on social media that he was ****** and called the SPCA but they said he is not there. A week later someone commented and said she took him to Parys SPCA a week ago. I tried calling Maggie, the head of Parys SPCA but could not get hold of her and later ran out of airtime.
I got hold of another lady also working with the Parys SPCA via WhatsApp and struggled a week to get a reply. She could not help and again referred me to Maggie. Two days later I got hold of Maggie. I explained I don't have airtime and begged her to call me. Waited two days and asked again. She finally called, but I had to help a client and asked that she call me back in 5 min. Very rudely she agreed. I have witnesses to prove this. She never called back.
Now I hear from a friend that my puppy was adopted 2 days ago. I again tried to call Maggie but she is again to busy to talk to me.
My grand mother bought me that puppy just before se died. I made sure he got his injections with the little money I earn. Me and my kids love Chucky to bits, we made sure he had a tag with my number in case he gets out.
Now my puppy was "fixed" and adopted by a lady that is very ill. Congratulations Parys SPCA for causing hurt and sorrow to not only one family but two.
