Owls from hell😭
I called Spca Midrand 3 weeks back, asking them to help me with the owls that are bothering me at night, I spoke to a guy I think his name is Jerry, he told me the procedure to follow for them to come and trap these birds, I did as I was told, but only yesterday he told me they can't help me, I don't sleep at night, I'm being tortured by these creatures, my son is sleeping in class because we can't sleep, the noise is so bad and they cry all night until 5:30 in the morning, I was told by Jerry that they release these owls to eat rodents, but why can't they help me to remove them since they bothering me, so I was told to live with those birds, there's nothing they can do, even now as I write this it's 11:44 I can't sleep, my son couldn't sleep I moved him to the sitting room to sleep on the couch,

Kindly note that our SPCA engaged the Management Agent regarding this matter and referred them to an accredited specialist company in this field to assist. The owl is currently roosting, and the specialists have advised that it is not possible to capture or relocate a healthy adult owl. Their presence is seasonal due to the current breeding period, and their activity should decrease naturally in the coming weeks. The specialists did provide alternative options to the Management Agent to assist in managing this situation until the breeding season is over. Our SPCA has tried our level best to assist in this matter, especially given that you had threatened to kill the owl, and we have continued to keep abreast of the situation to assist. All indigenous owls are protected under the Nature Conservation Ordinance 12 of 1983 and killing an owl would be in contravention of the Nature Conservation Ordinance and the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962. While we do understand your frustration in this matter, our SPCA Inspector had continued to monitor this situation, involved accredited specialists and engaged your Managing Agents to see how we can improve the situation. Options were provided to improve the situation and our Inspector and SPCA never refused assistance. Kind Regards,Midrand SPCA
