Lack of empathy

Unfortunately the SPCA (Durban) are uncaring and their only real purpose is to make money, hence the request for donations, yes you can adopt an animal, but the truth is that the majority of animals are put down if they have even the slightest medical condition, cat fights are common but instead of patching up a stray I asked them to fetch, they put her to sleep, they also put down her five kittens who only needed some minor treatment. The animals they showcase are the marketing tools, if your pet is sick and you take them to the SPCA Durban, prepare to say goodbye first. The staff (Juliet and Karina in particular) lack empathy for animals and have absolutely no social skills. We can only pray that these callous people will be dealt with in due course.
