Heartless ******ers trying to cover up their horrible decision

So we just found out that the Sandton SPCA thought it was a good idea to ****** both our dogs on Wednesday 25 January 2023, after we surrendered them in a fit of panic because they had a huge fight. The person who collected the dogs could see very well my mother was not paying attention to what she was signing and she was in a state of shock after we tried to separate the dogs for 20 minutes. Naively we believed making use of the spca's services, our dogs would be calmed down and safe. Only to find out this place killed them the very same day, giving us zero opportunity to reflect on the situation and to try to get them back. This morning when I phoned the office, the receptionist and the kennel manager blatantly **** to me, saying they didn't know which dogs they were even though I provided their names and a description. When my boyfriend went after work to find out what happened, they could magically remember that my dogs had been killed the same day they got there. I hope that all of you that are so enamoured with this place, will see this as a wake up call. Never take your pets here for help, because compassion doesn't exist here. I had my senior dog for 10 years and my younger dog just over a year and thanks to the Sandton spca they will never get to be adopted by someone or be returned to us. Again, my mom and I were alone at home and we were in a panic. When we called the spca, we thought it was in the best interests of the dogs because we were terrified that they would fight again. We will never ever make that mistake again, nor will we ever trust the spca again. You are trying to blame everything on my mother, saying she signed the surrender form so that's that. No one explained to her that she signed a death certificate for our dogs. My dogs were healthy and fit, there was no reason for them to die. If you didn't have space, you could have told us and we would never have sent them with your employee.
