Cat paralyzed because of boarding kennel

<p>We put our cats in the SPCA Kimberley kennel before going on vacation on 03/09/2016 and got back today 16/09/2016, only to be told that on 04/09/2016 our one black cat was injured in the kennel when he apparently jumped up onto a low ledge and a plank fell on him injuring his spine. A local private vet was contacted by the SPCA, our listed private vet was not on duty, and our cat is still at the vet where we are hoping for him to have a full recovery. Luckily the x-ray showed no spinal fracture, but he is lame in his back legs. We put our cats in the kennel at the SPCA so that they could be looked after and be safe while we were out of town. Now one of our cats has a serious injury because of the SPCA kennels. Please be very careful about putting your cat into a kennel!</p>
