Bad customer service experience

My neighbour's dog was bumped by a car due to the power failure we had. I phoned MY neighbor and he asked me take his dog to the spa as the dog was adopted and chipped from the SPCA. The dog was full of cuts. Blood in his eyes looked like a broken cheek bone tyre marks on his behind etc. First leg we wait at the gate to go in the premises then the front desk personnel treated me like *******. He then went to get an older lady who told me the have no doctors available. This was at 14h00 on 22.01.2018. They told me to take the dog who was in pain and ****** to animal anti cruelty or a vet. The attitude was horrific. As if that doggie owed them something. I feel this was total uneceptable. I had to rush the doggy to the southdale vet who had no power but didn't hesitate to help the bumped doggie .

Thank you for advising us of the complaint below.

The Johannesburg SPCA's main gate is closed for security reasons and the public press the intercom to gain entry.

Our vet had left the premises when the complainant came in with the animal and we do not have the staff qualified to assess and treat animals in that condition when there is no vet available.

Hence the complainant was referred to the nearest animal hospital, in the best interest of the animal.
