Angry and disgusted at treatment from SPCA KLOOF

SPCA KLOOF claim to care about animals but what my family and I have been through in the past few days seems more personal. Our neighbour's and I both own pitbulls. On the 2zt occasion the neighbors dogs broke the boundary wall to come onto our property and attack our dogs. Thereafter on more than 5 occasions their dogs have come to our front gate and attacked our dogs. We dealt with the matter as neighbourly as possible and not once did we ask for them to pay our vet bills. On Saturday the 22nd of August our gate didn't close properly and as soon as I realized my sister and I ran to the neighbors house where we heard dogs fighting. The neighbors dog had our dog in its Jaws through the gate. We tried to pull our dog but to no avail. We asked them to bring water that didn't help. They then opened their gate while we were outside. The dog then let go our dog and my sister carried our dog. The neighbors dog came to try and attack our dog and also bit my sister in the process. As this was Saturday night no vets we know were open and when we assesses our dogs injuries we decided that they could wait for Monday. In the meantime we provided our 2 dogs with anti I flammatories and pain killers from a previous visit to the vet. Also when we called the vet on Monday we were unable to get an appointment but our dogs were improving. My husband came home and found a warning on our gate from SPCA stating they are giving us 24hours to get our dogs to the vet. We then called the inspector named Israel to find out what all this was about. He initially started by saying he was patrolling the area and saw that our dogs were injured. My husband informed that SPCA does not patrol but come out when they are called. He then stated that an anonymous call came through regarding dogs that were fighting. He then came to our gate and inspected the dogs. I don't know how he did that because our dogs don't allow anyone near the gate. I then tried to tell him about the neighbors dogs that have attacked ours on many occasions and that my sister was bitten. He told me that has nothing to do with him I should contact metro police and lay a charge at SAPS. Anyway, he apparently took video footage of the dogs showing the injuries. We asked him if the neighbors also received a warning and he said yes. We then contacted the neighbors and asked them, they said they did not receive any warning. Before the 24hours was over on Tuesday morning the inspector returned and left a final warning. Mind you we had an appointment with the vet for that day. I then contacted the supervisor Sue to enquire why we have been given a final notice before the 24hours. She stated that Israel told her that we refused to get the dogs veterinary treatment. She also said she had not seen the warning but saw the video footage which shows our dogs hind quarter to be badly damaged. I then told her that none of our dogs have a hind quarter injury but she insisted. I then asked her if the neighbors were also given a warning she said she was not aware of a fight with the neighbors dogs and dogs fighting is dogs on the street meaning it's for metro police not them. But what did Israel tell me? She told me her main concern is for our dogs so I asked what about the dog next door because it's also injured. She said she's not aware about it. I told her now she is aware what is she going to do. I was not happy with her rudeness and asked for her managers details. My husband contacted the manager Barbara who was even more rude. She told my husband that she also saw this video footage of the dogs hind quarter of and she is appauled. Again my husband tried to say none of our dogs have that type of injury but she wasn't having it. My husband asked her why we were not afforded the 24hours initially given before getting a final warning and her response was why wait 24hours. We didn't wait, we did have an appointment but she was hearing nothing and put the call down on my husband. We took our dogs to the vet and they were treated but the vet recommended they stay overnight for more treatment which we could not afford so she suggested we take them to SPCA as it was a more affordable option. Today my mother in law took the dogs to SPCA Springfield where initially they did not want to assist and asked why are the dogs coming there if we could initially afford a private vet. (I'm confused) anyway my mother inaw asked them to put it in writing that they don't want to assist and so they did. In the meantime 2 SPCA vehicles with Israel and 2vets, a man named Petros and metro police arrived with a warrant of arrest for my husband. My husband asked Israel why he has been lying and also why the neighbors were not given a warning. He said that when he went to the neighbors gate he saw that their dog had no injuries. My husband then showed him a message from my neighbor confirming that the dog was indeed inured. So when I told the supervisor the previous day the dog was injured they did absolutely nothing. Only then did they go next door. When we told them the dogs were not here and had gone to SPCA Springfield, Petros hinted that we were hiding the dogs. My husband informed him that his warrant allows him to come onto the property and search so he is welcome to but he did not come in. They demanded to know time of arrival and 1st person spoken to at Springfield. We told them still they did not believe us. Anyway we got proof of payment that my mother in law paid and showed them. Both dogs were inspected and treated by the attending vet and surprise surprise none of them have a hind quarter injury. All this seems personal. If they truly cared about all animals why only concentrate on ours and leave the neighbors dog. Also I would like to see this footage that Israel has of the dog that the hind quarter is badly hurt because seemingly that is how he got his warrant.

I am disgusted. We donate to the SPCA for them to carry out their personal vendettas against residents that is just not acceptable. I am angry at the unfair treatment we have had to endure compared to our neighbors. Also our neighbors know someone at SPCA who usually comes to help with their dogs so how do I know they didn't use that friend to smooth things over so they don't get a warning. So basically all the people we spoke to were biased against us and no care for the animals.
