A dog needs help
A dog is so skinny it is knocking on deaths door. The other dogs on the property are not, so it is a health problem. I have had to call Mr Ransamy for feedback, not once has he called me. He gave the people 3days to produce evidence that the dog was being treated. He went back on the 3rd day and didn't see the dog in the back yard and just left he didn't bother to check the front yard. The dog is knocking on deaths door can barely bark and has been left there for now a week. Mr Ransamy said he called the vet and spoke to the receptionist and they said the dog was treated. I asked for what and when? He could not anwser either question and said he will wait for the vet to phone him back. The dog could have been treated say for worms but hasn't shown any improvement so then there needs to be a follow up. This dog has been suffering for a week now because there is no urgency or care behind the \investigation". I am so disappointed in this"

Durban & Coast SPCA responded as follows:
Inspections were conducted by Inspector Ramsamy, 4 dogs were seen on the property. 3 dogs in fair condition and 1 dog very thin. Warnings have been issued and the owner provided the treating veterinarians details. The treating veterinarian has been contacted by Inspector Ramsamy and confirmed that the dog is under treatment. The veterinarian advised that she is monitoring the dogs progress and it is due for a follow-up check this week. The vet has requested that Inspector Ramsamy liaise with her on the 29/10/2015 for an update. The case is still under investigation. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor the dogs health and keep Mrs van Wyk updated as to the progress. However this health issue takes time to rectify and we ask Mrs van Wyk's patience in this regard.
