Novartis switchboard ignoring calls

This happened to me yesterday and this morning. I got through to Novartis head office on ***. First time round, switchboard takes your call & (so called) puts you through to the person you ask for. However the phone then give one very short ring to the extension and then deathly silence. So, you put down the phone & try again... BUT now when you try & call the switchboard,, they ignore your call! Honest! Yesterday I only tried 3 times subsequently, but his morning I tried 7 subsequent times. Well done Novartis, extremely professional. Is that why you have a different number for international calls ... so that your Swiss bosses don't know how USELESS you are?
